Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with Uni Győr for the loan of the center Mojca Jelenc (22 years old, Slovenia, 1.97m) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The player, who is under contract with the Club until 2027, split her time this past season between the Valencia Basket women's team and La Cordà de Paterna in LF Challenge, and will now have the opportunity to continue growing and gaining experience in the Hungarian city.
The Slovenian joined Valencia Basket last season to alternate her participation between the affiliate team in LF Challenge, coached by Glòria Estopà, and the women’s team under Rubén Burgos. Jelenc played a significant role at La Cordà de Paterna, where she appeared in 24 games and averaged 7.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. She also contributed to the Valencia Basket pro team’s daily training, appearing in three official games, one of which was the LF Endesa Supercup final that the Taronja team won.
Jelenc has been a regular in Slovenia’s youth national teams, with appearances in two U16 European Championships and one U20 European Championship. She is now part of the senior national team, with whom she played in the 2023 EuroBasket qualifiers—averaging 9.2 points, 5 rebounds, and a performance index rating of 13.5 over 6 games—as well as the 2025 qualifiers. This summer, she made her debut in a major tournament with the national team, playing three games in the EuroBasket Women.
